2023–2027 term scorecard
DeSantis kept 67% of 15 promises tracked for the 2023–2027 term. Each verdict is term-scoped, primary-sourced, and reviewed by three sequential reviewers (neutral · conservative · progressive).
Ron DeSantis is the 46th Governor of Florida, serving since January 2019. He was re-elected in November 2022 by approximately 19 percentage points — one of the most lopsided gubernatorial wins in Florida history. He ran for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, suspending his campaign after the Iowa caucus and endorsing Trump on January 21, 2024. He is term-limited and his second term ends January 2027. His tenure has been defined by Florida's COVID-19 policy approach, anti-DEI legislation, education curriculum reforms, and ongoing legal/political fights with Disney.
Ronald DeSantis, Florida's governor, kept 10 of 15 major campaign promises tracked here, but broke one significant pledge: he promised to win the 2024 presidential primary and did not. Three other promises remain only partially fulfilled. We don't yet have detailed donor records or voting alignments for this office; the data above covers his public commitments as governor, not fundraising patterns.
