The spending is part of more than $80 million in outside money already flowing into the Texas Senate contest. Outside groups are organizations that spend money on races but do not give directly to candidates.
The $30 million represents one of the largest expenditures in the race so far. TEXANS FOR A CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY directed all of this money against Paxton's candidacy.
